    Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace
    Travis Woodworth, Health and Safety Planner, Glooscap Ventures
    This focused session zeroes in on the critical issue of psychological health and safety within the workplace, particularly within the context of Nova Scotia's workforce. We will discuss the prevalence of stress and harassment, the disproportionate challenges faced by marginalized groups, and the resulting impact on organizational health. The presentation will outline the steps Glooscap Health and Safety has taken to raise awareness and address these issues, including the implementation of psychological safety policies and training programs. Attendees will be introduced to the IDEAL Project's evidence-based practices that support the integration of psychological health into the fabric of workplace culture. This session is designed to equip participants with an understanding of the importance of psychological safety and practical steps to create more inclusive and mentally healthy work environments.

    "Allyship" is rooted in the belief that it is the everyday kindnesses of ordinary people, that leads to long-term positive change in a community & and culture. Our discussion will focus on tangible ways individuals can be inclusive, and accepting and feel empowered to help disrupt the presence of discrimination in the world.
